leigh
​Leigh is a highly accomplished coach, learning leader, and organizational development consultant with more than 20 years experience in both public sector settings and privately held companies. As Chief Learning Officer for Thornton Tomasetti, Leigh developed and implemented talent development programs for a global organization of engineers, architects, and other professionals collaborating from 38 offices worldwide. She coordinated the firm’s performance management systems, set operational goals based on TT’s corporate vision, and facilitated strategic planning initiatives for the company. Prior to working with Thornton Tomasetti, Leigh was Partner and Director of Organizational Development and Training for Walter P Moore, an engineering and consulting firm with 24 offices across the U.S. In that position, Leigh designed industry award-winning employee development programs recognized as key contributors to the company’s successful growth. For three consecutive years during Leigh's tenure, Structural Engineer magazine named Walter P Moore among its “Best Places to Work” specifically citing the firm’s internal training programs as exemplary. ​
Leigh’s expertise in coaching, strategic planning, change management, performance management, and learning architecture design and development has benefitted clients in a wide variety of industries. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles advancing new thinking about strategic planning, employee development, and employee retention, and she is frequently a requested speaker and facilitator for conferences and meetings for organizations such as American Council of Engineering Companies, American Society of Civil Engineers, Society for Marketing Professional Services, and the Society of Design Administration.
Leigh holds a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology and Human Development from Texas Tech University, a teaching certificate in English and History, a Professional in Human Resources certificate, and is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.
Active in the non-profit community, Leigh has served on the board of the Austin Child Guidance Center, a non-profit agency that provides need-blind mental health services to youth, and has served as a weekly volunteer with The Care Communities, an agency providing non-medical services to people with terminal illnesses.
